Ethnologist I Film Scientist I Videast

Studies of Cultural Anthropology (specialisation in Visual Anthropology), Film and Constitutional Law at the Universities of Bern and Zurich/Switzerland. Video formation at the School of Art Berne. Worked for many years as researcher and lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts and since 2007 at the Academy of Art and Design FHNW and other Universities.

Current research: Times of Waste (2015-18, Swiss National Science Foundation).

Since 1991 documentary-essayistic video work for inter/national festivals and exhibitions. Residencies and research studies in Australia, China, Laos, Mali, USA and in different countries of Middle and Southern Europe. Research topics and themes of interest: Border areas, transitory and public spaces, political ecology, research methodology, interactive formats of presentation.
