This workshop focuses on machine arts in the 20th and 21st century. In a time of growing importance of digital technologies, automation and artifical intelligence (AI) the artistic knowledge of machine arts gains importance. Thus, projects of machine arts will be introduced (historically), scrutinised and discussed. Three talks will especially address relations of machine arts to media, production, body and myth.
