Transmedia Matters? Researching Electronic Waste
With this two-day workshop, the research team behind Times of Waste brings together local and international actors researching electronic waste, its circulations, transformations, and impacts for human and non-human beings. We are particularly interested in the transmedia dimensions of aesthetic and interdisciplinary scientific research and its impact for everyday life. What kind of practices might provide us with a critical take on waste’s world-making?
With contributions by Shu Lea Cheang (Paris), Baruch Gottlieb (Berlin), KairUs (Linz), Shusha Niederberger (Basel), Dietmar Offenhuber (Boston) and the research team Times of Waste (Basel)
The workshop is in English, public and free, with limited seats. Please register until October 24, 2016 at: flavia.caviezel@fhnw.ch
