Maja Riegler – Junior Researcher

Maja Riegler (*1988) is a design researcher at the Institute of Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM).

She studied Visual Communication at the University of the Arts Bern with a focus on Data Visualization, Typography and Data Interface Design where she graduated with a BA in Visual Communication in 2015. After the graduation she continued her studies within the Master Program MA Communication Design at BFH HKB Bern. There she had the opportunity to present her MA Research Proposal at the Junior Research Conference in 2015 in Lausanne followed by a Workshop called “Developing information-carrier in a design context”.

During her Master Studies she joined several MA Programs in Switzerland (MA Communication Design at University of the Arts Bern, MA Design at the FHNW Academy of Design and Art Basel) and Austria (MA Social Design, University of Applied Art Vienna)

In 2017 she graduated with a Master degree in Design at the FHNW Academy of Design and Art Basel. Since January 2018 she works as junior project manager within the ECAM Graduate School and since April 2018 she works as a design researcher in the field of Game Design, User Interface Studies and Usability in the context of design for elderly, co-creation and interdisciplinary cooperation with the other FHNW locations APS (Olten), IT (Brugg-Windisch) and FHNW Academy of Music Research Department.
