Today, laboratories are more than workplaces just for scientists. The lab has become a source of inspiration for artists, curators, and designers as well, as it carries with it the notions of experimentation and creativity. In this radio feature, Prof. Dr. Claudia Mareis (director of IXDM) together with Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Rheinberger, Dr. Jochen Hennig, and Norbert Lang discuss the backgrounds of the lab boom and ask whether this new wave is so new after all.
