Jamie Allen at iii in The Hague

In January 2016, Critical Media Lab Senior Researcher Jamie Allen will take part in a collaborative research and production residency in the Netherlands. The iii artist-run platform based in The Hague will host Jamie and collaborator Will Schrimshaw (Edge Hill University) who will develop together a set of reading groups, discussions and productions on the theme of “Pure Potential”: using concepts of noise, negation, filtration and subtraction as the basis of creative work in performance, sound, installation and reflexive writing. Building on their prior work together, these encounters will result in sketches and ideas for collaborative exhibition works and published scholarship, allowing as well for exchanges with Netherlands-based media artists and researchers.
