Earth Observatory Array Actions
This workshop, co-organised by the research team of Shift Register, forms part of the extended events program of the 30th anniversary edition of transmediale festival Berlin. This one-day event will see the activation of Shift Register’s Earth Observatory Array at Silent Green Kulturquartier, a former crematorium in Berlin.
During the day, several Earth Observatory Array Elements (EOAE) will be collaboratively developed and set up, thematised around three different end-of-life rituals that signify transfers of state and metamorphoses of the earth. These built structures will be activated through a performance/ceremony later in the evening. The event is held in collaboration with the launch of the Mycelium Network Society at excursion: ecologies transmediale 2017, Berlin.
