IXDM researcher Michaela Büsse is among a great list of keynote speakers at the Dilemma! Dilemma! design conference in Berne. In her talk within the Designing Kin-ship panel she will argue against a prevailing hylomorphic understanding within design (and else where) that acknowledges form over matter (form follows function) and how it is rooted in a century-long philosophic inquiry about the separation of thinking and sensing. In the concept of individuation she finds an alternative mode of form-finding which emphasises constant becoming of everyone and everything in relation to one another and that implies a way of thinking design as process-oriented.
