We are happy to invite you to the first official preview event on occasion of the relocation of the Academy of Art and Design FHNW and with it the ixdm’s occupation of its new facilities. The event will be celebrated with the opening of this year’s diploma exhibition as well as presentations, screenings, performances, music and more, organized by the school’s institutes and departments freshly joined at the new Campus of the Arts. The ixdm’s Critical Media Lab will present the sound installation “Studies on criticality 001” by Shintaro Miyazaki. Later the evening we will host an audiovisual concert under the title “Synthesis” – a musical performance by Basel based VITA ARTUR in dialogue with live visual works especially developed for that occasion in a student workshop led by Ludwig Zeller. The ixdm will also celebrate the official opening of the Critical Media Lab with a dedicated event on November 21st, so save the date.
