BPLTC II: Identity Control

Jamie Allen, IXDM and Critical Media Lab Senior Researcher, will open a new exhibition in Montreal, Canada next week. His work “Lie Machine” a media-critique of the signal politics of voice-based lie detectors machines, will be exhibited in a group exhibition with pieces by Zach Blas and Mushon Zer-Aviv at the Eastern Bloc exhibition BPLTC II: Identity Control. The exhibition opens November 5th.

As well, Jamie and Critical Media Lab researcher Shintaro Miyazaki will do a media-archeological workshop entitled “Deconstructing the Scientology E-Meter” at the same venue and as part of conjoined activities with, the Media Art Histories conference in Montreal that week: Re-Create: Theories, Methods and Practices of Research-Creation in the Histories of Media Art, Science and Technology.
